CHAIR

  • The Chair can be elected for more than one term.
  • It is an Annual election.
  • The members voted upon to represent the various industry sectors elect the Chair from the Board of Directors.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (5 persons)

  • Chair.
  • Comprised of two (2) commodity fruit representatives.
  • Comprised of two (2) commodity vegetables representatives.
  • Elected annually from the Board of Directors by the board members.
  • No provision for alternates.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS (10 persons)

  • Comprised of commodity representatives as follows:

    Apple growers.
    Asparagus Board representative.
    Small fruit/Berry growers.
    Fresh Vegetable – Muck growers.
    Fresh Vegetable – Other fresh.
    Grape growers – Fresh and Processed.
    Ginseng growers
    Greenhouse vegetable growers.
    Potato – Fresh and Processed.
    Tender Fruit.

  • Canadian Horticultural Council representative - Ontario (non-voting).
  • Directors are elected from their respective commodity sectors. Commodity sectors elect and choose the appropriate director and alternate.
  • Representatives should be in a capacity of decision-making authority (director - grower/leader/alternate – secretary manager).
  • Attendance limited to the director or alternate (not both unless by special resolution)
  • Communications between the director and alternate is their respective responsibility to ensure continuity and information flow between meetings.


SECTION COMMITTEE CHAIRS

  • Comprised of chairs for the following committee sections:

    Labour.
    Crop Protection/Environment.
    Research.
    Safety Nets.
    Property.

Attendance by the section chairs is required at each Board of Directors meeting.
