| Over time, the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’
Association (OFVGA) has been able to facilitate changes in
government policy by acting in a responsible and reasonable
manner. It has been shown that clear reasoning, common sense,
and executive diplomacy has been one of the stronger characteristics
of the OFVGA.
As such, executive directors are appointed and/or elected
to serve Canada’s oldest standing agricultural organization.
This responsibility has been bestowed on these individuals
since 1859 and in this case “they have years of history,
expertise, and knowledge backing their every step”.
As a leader, a director’s involvement is not only to
administer the policies of the OFVGA, but to assist in the
development and growth of the industry and its members.
